Enable Banking

IntegratedPISP / aggregator

EEA account information and payment initiation: SEPA, SEPA Instant and domestic schemes, straight from payer to payee.

What it does

Each capability by country. Integrated means Unirail’s adapter does it today; listed means Enable Banking offers it according to its public documentation, and Unirail can’t route it yet.

Banking

  • Account detailsbanking.ais.account-details

The account and routing details of an account the user links: sort code and account number, IBAN, ACH routing and account number.

    • integratedGBATBEDEEEESFIFRIEITLTLVNLPTSK

Enable Banking's public markets page (checked 2026-10-08) lists 30 EEA countries and not the UK; the adapter's GB coverage needs confirming against its bank list.

  • Balancesbanking.ais.balances

Current and available balance of a linked account.

  • Transactionsbanking.ais.transactions

Transaction history of a linked account.

  • Single paymentsbanking.pis.single

One immediate payment from the payer's bank account, approved by the payer at their bank.

    • integratedGBATBEDEEEESFIFRIEITLTLVNLPTSK

SEPA, SEPA Instant and domestic schemes, depending on the bank. Unverified: Enable Banking may expect you to bring your own PISP licence for production payments.

  • Scheduled paymentsbanking.pis.scheduled

A payment the payer approves now for a later date, or a standing order.

    • listedATBEBGCYCZDEDKEEESFIFRGRHRHUIEITLTLULVMTNLPLPTROSESISKISLINO

Only at banks that support it; Enable Banking flags this per bank.

  • Bulk paymentsbanking.pis.bulk

Many payments approved together in one bank authorisation.

    • listedATBEBGCYCZDEDKEEESFIFRGRHRHUIEITLTLULVMTNLPLPTROSESISKISLINO

Only at banks that support it; Enable Banking flags this per bank.

Verification

  • Account ownershipverification.ownership

Proving the user holds an account by linking it at their bank; the bank returns the holder's name where it reports one.

    • integratedGBATBEDEEEESFIFRIEITLTLVNLPTSK

The user links the account themselves, so Unirail records it as verified (own link).

Reaches many banks through open banking: links accounts and starts payments that go straight from the payer’s bank to the payee’s.

Custody

Who holds the money while a payment through Enable Banking is in flight. Unirail records custody on every leg, and your routing policy decides which kinds are allowed.

  • noneNo custody

Nobody holds the money. The payer’s bank pays the payee’s bank directly; the provider only instructs it.

Who is regulated

Enable Banking by default; a licensed TPP can bring its own eIDAS certificates.

With your own contract, you stay the provider’s customer. Unirail acts as your technical service provider and calls Enable Banking with your credentials.

Create these keys in your Infisical, under the base path you bound to the Unirail environment (/unirail unless you chose another), in a folder named enablebanking. Unirail reads them through OIDC federation and never stores them.
